Looks like an 06 or 56 series altenator. We have 3 wires. battery pole, F, R. OF course bat. pole to battery current. Where do the f and r get run. Also the f and r terminals are parallel to each other not side by side. So this should be a internally regulated altenator right? thanks

You have an external regulator Delco alternator. The F terminal connects to the field terminal on the regulator. The R terminal connects to the relay terminal on the regulator[ controls the idiot light]. If you are updating a generator system, you don't need to hook up the R terminal. You do need a good ground to the regulator base & to the rest of the components & frame. If this is not correct, someone else will give other info, however this system has worked for several installations on our equipment.
