Have a 300 row crop that has a clutch that is hard for the wife to push in. Have seen a clutch assist for M,,H,, and 300. Anyone ever put one of these on? How do they attach ,and how well do they work? Also will type for H and Ms fitt a 300. Thanks

We have a "clutch assist" of sorts for our W6. It is a piece that bolts onto the input arm where it goes into the clutch housing and makes the lever longer (longer moment arm means more torque, which means less physical input). One thing to realize though, is that it will change the free-play of the clutch pedal from the factory specs in the owners manual. You can account for this by doing the following: Before attaching it, adjust the clutch pedal to factory specs, open the clutch housing access cover and measure distance between throw-out bearing and fingers with a gap gauge. Now use the gap gauge method after installing the part to be sure the gap remained the same, if not adjust it so it is. Then, measure the new distance between the platform and pedal and use as your new clutch pedal free-play number. It also makes the pedal reach a little longer, so you have to reach a little farther to fully press the pedal, but it is nothing major. I would recommend it, as our M without it is a LOT harder to hold down than our W6. If you are referring to a hydraulic one, I have never seen one on that small of a tractor.

I remember my dad having one of these on our M, but seems like he took it off for some reason. I still have the M and I'll look around to see if it is hanging in the shed or somewhere.
