I have my toys and my wife has hers-she bought a Huskvarna embroidery machine from a seller on ebay about 6 months ago from someone with a very high satisfaction rating. A good deal on a "new in the box" unit, but not great. Power supply quit one month later-took to the dealer-serial number altered-therefor no warranty. $1300 repair. Reported to pay-pal-seller no longer listed. The seller was finally tracked down and was just arrested for selling stolen merchandise. They had figured out how to see your max bid and would run you up to just under that limit with phony bidders. FYI be as careful as you can.

Well, you are not the first person who ever (in good faith) bought a previously stolen item. Its been going on since they were selling Asp baskets in Egypt. Ebay is just another format and like any market, it requires a some common sense and buyer beware. Having bought and sold 600+ items, I have been burned a couple times but probably not as bad as if I was trading on the New York stock exchange, or Joe's used car lot. It's a great place to find old obolete and one of a kind items.

Like, Rusty Farmall, I have cancelled everything to do with Fleabay, then I don't have to worry about being stolen from or ripped off. I firmly believe if you are buying something NIB, and it is a lot cheaper than you can buy a new one, off the shelf for the same thing, something is not right, and Fleabay with not do anything to help you except take you money.

Way too many scams on ebay. I cancelled my account. Don't have to worry about such things anymore.
