Whoooiee,

Went to put new A/C lines on. Old fittings acted like it might twist off at the condenser, so I decide I'll try to use the old lines before I go that route.

Yeah right, they weren't designed for this type of compressor, things are just too close and I had to move things around a bit. Moved that silly either gizmo outbound and back; it ain't pretty, but at least it's on there. Just hope I can get to that darned 134a adaptor without pulling the silly hood now.

Okay, gotta fight a couple of condenser motors yet and then we're gonna fill 'er up and see if she'll make some cold.

Looking good, when I was in high school I worked for a neighbor on the farm had a 966 just like yours ( no air though).

Wow that brings backs the memories ! Worked like a dog all day, not sure you could make it and then went in to town @ night to see the girls !!
