Radio does not have any power to it.Anyone know where the wiring is ran or where the power comes from? Blower fan does work, All the fuses below the console checked OK. Hate to start taking apart the liner to trace wiring. Thank for an help you can give.

All radios I've taken out just had the attachment to the plastic trimplate. Maybe they had been worked on before. Sounds like it's going to be a roof removal thing.

There were some new tractors that I replaced the radio and face plate after being stolen did not have the nut on the back either. Depended on how bad things were mangled.

There is a 1/4" NC nut on the backside of the radio that is accessible after removing the cab access cover on the roof. Unless it is a very early production mode,l or has been replaced, the nut is a tamper resistant "Tri Wing" that needs a special socket to remove.

Remove the nut with a vice grip and replaced it with a standard nut. The nut never stopped anyone from stealing the radio anyway. If they wanted it that bad they never bother to remove any fasteners, just broke things up.

Should have mentioned -- only take the screws out of the plastic plate which mounts the radio in the cab. Don't need to take radio out of mounting plate. Don't drop screws down gearshift quadrant holes.[slots]

Take radio out & fuse is in wiring harness behind radio. Dirt may get in fuse holder & cause trouble. Can't remember lf there are 4 or 5 screws holding the radio in.

Lynn,

Think that junction block is under the roof panel, isn't it? Outside, up on top?
