What kind of gear oil should go in the rear end and PTO box for a Farmall C?

Gear oil should be GL 5 90. GL5 will stand up to the pressure where the gear teeth meet. It means gear lube 5

I have been trying to decide the same thing for an H. Where can you find straight 90 weight? Is GL 1 90 ok?

90 weight will work fine, I personally prefer 85W-140 as I use my tractors for real work, year-round.

Either will work good I work my old tractors also year round and I always thought the 85/140 may be a little heavy in cold weather.
