I posted last week about problems with my hydraulics. I was adding fluid to the transmission thinking it was a common reservoir for the hydraulics and transmission. Hugh and others straightened me out on this. I added fluid to the hydraulic reservoir this weekend and the hydraulics began to work. The fast hitch seems to work fine. The loader now works but not correctly. I pull back on the handle and it will lift about a foot. Pull back on the handle again and it will lift another foot and stop. I can keep doing this and it gets higher but why will it not raise smoothly? I may be still low on fluid but not sure since I'm not sure how to know what level is needed. I had to remove a hose pipe on top of hydraulic system to add the fluid. thanks again for any suggustions.

I have a scoop for my 350 Farmall international. I think I need to drain the hydraulics on it because what is leaking out is oil and water. How do I drain the hydraulics though I can't tell?

Jrry. Do you have any pics of your setups? There is no fill cap on yours, mine has a dipstick? ot sure what they are doing there. Seen a set of 3 IH control valve on ebay 100$ starting bid, they didnt sell.

Keep filling it up, if you get too muxh in there, they oil should come out of the breather hole...

From my experience, if you run low on fluid the pump will complain when all it has is air to pump, you outta notice it fast.

Another idea is your breather might be cloggd, try cleaning it out good and reinstalling it, then trying it. You could try it without the breather temporarily to be sure as well.

Jerry: I have a good suggestion. Find yourself a good pair of IH factory control valves to add to the factory valve bank, then take that nightmare of control valves and plumbing, dig a 6' hole and bury them. That will insure we never hear tell of them again. If you then need help plumbing a good factory set up, send me an e mail.
