Farmall F-12, Rare?

Around my area there is what I believe to be a Farmall F-12 or regular, judging by pictures I've seen. It has rear steel wheels in good shape, and a single front wheel, about 14" inches in diam., and maybe 5-6 inches wide, and smooth. How rare is this? I've never seen one in pictures, but then I'm not a Farmall collector, so I haven't seen very many. Oh, the tractor is missing the hood, fuel tank, and the block is cracked, so the condition isn't very good. But, it may be a freebie, so I was wondering if it's worth the time to haul it home, or should I leave it be?

The first 2 or 3 years of F12's had a Continental engine, Those running today are pretty rare.

The engines were made by Waukesha and it was only part of the first year of regular production. Only about 2500 were made with the Waukesha engine.

Preacher,I own a Reg and 3 F12's,and they both are fun to play with, and parts are easy to find. The regular is hard to haul so I have left it on steel and only take it to the local fair. The F12 are all on rubber and I start these and ride them around the subdivison I live in,The F12 are some times contrayee and a little hard to start,They are all different personalitys,All of my tractors have been locked up and its a great feeling to hear them run under there own power,GO GET THEM. PS. I presume you are a preacher and so am I,GOD BLESS

Gene, you just grin and bear it.Old tractors remind me of the old days,The present times and keeps me looking to the future. After plowing with a steel wheel regular in these WV rocks,it reminds me how much God has blessed us

The F-12 would be high if they gave you brand new one. You can develop about as much power with a bicycle and a rope. The F-20 on the other hand was a real tractor.

Preacher there were lots of F 12s I think over 123,000 and more regulars. the regular is a larger tractor than the F 12. It is in line with the F 20. You can buy one that runs a lot cheaper than you can fix that one, but if it's free why not it would make a parts tractor. To the left you can research these.

Nope not rare but if its cheap its still worth hauling it home. Shoot the rear wheels and front end is worth a couple 100 buck in them self to the right person. I had one years ago but sold it and I could have gotten one a year ago for $100 but I passed on it because of where it was it would have been very hard to get out
