I am having trouble with my 806. After started, it takes 3-10 minutes for the lift to kick in and pick up. For example, if I have a bush hog attached it may wait 5 minutes then automatically lift it. What is the problem?

Looks like ur oil a little gray. Does it do this in the summer? or Does the T/A hesitate on the low side?

Are the remotes delayed too?

Yes, the loader does not work either for 5-10 min.

Hey Melvin,

Does the power steering scream at ya when it's cold also? When was the last time you changed that hydraulic filter?

If not that, it is something common to the rear pump; that o-ring at the mounting boss possibly? Or maybe, just a plain old tired pump?

About a year ago I put a new power steering pump on and I think I changed the hyd. filter then. Not sure though.

"Usually", when the filter needs changing, it will set up a "singing' noise as it by-passes when started cold. Steering is usually jerky or non-existant too until the tractor warms up.

However, the weak point of that back remote/hitch system is that darned o-ring at the rear pump mounting boss. Just seems to give all kinds of trouble.

Here's how I cured that joker.
