Brought our 48 cub up to the house from the barn the other day to put some hydraulic fluid in it. Drove it all the way to the house and shut it off. It was off for 10 minutes. When I got back on the tractor and pulled the starter, nothing happened. Its a 12v system and the battery is strong and theres power all the way to the starter. Now, when I say nothing happend, I mean the starter never turned at all. The battery is not dead (I don't believe, anyway. It has worked fine for the past 2 years since it was new), the tractor will hand start just fine. The main issue seems to be the starter. Any ideas???

Either a bad connection at the switch or a bad switch. I am assuming you have a good ground. To check the ground, check the for voltage between the gounded battery post and the starter case. If voltage is indicated when you pull the starter, you have a bad ground.
Check the voltage on the switch stud and pull the starter. If the voltage drops to zero, you have a bad connection. If the voltage does not drop, you have a bad switch or starter.
I had a similar problem. The battery connection was tight and looked clean. I connected and reconnected the cable several times thinking any bad connection would be resolved. I removed and cleaned the internal switch contacts. It wasn't until I cleaned the mating surfaces between the cable and switch that it began to work.

Maybe your starter is binded on the ring gear. Loosen starter and wiggle it then retighten and see what happens.
