Previous owner has drilled an 1/8 hole on hydrolic filler plug located on top behind the seat. I do'nt know exactly the need of that hole, may be the system need to evacuate air pression. So, when I am working with tractor, oil is bleeding by this hole if the front of the tractor is little bit upper then the back.

Is there a problem to put a filler plug without hole or an another solution could be replace the hole?

Thanks

Jacques

Hi Jacques, we had a 434 and it was a solid pipe plug.

I am curious for reason for 1/8 hole, had the previous owner over filled the reservoir OR not using Hytran hydraulic oil and it is foaming?

Hi, Jim,

The hole has only 1\8 but it bleed a lot when I working with the loader, a 1850 International.. I changed hydrolic oil and I filled as the indication that mean up to the bottom of the filler plug. I don't know if ther is a strainer doing the same job of a 1/8 hole?

Jacques

Hi Jacques, we had an IH 1501 loader on our 434 and later traded for a 384, same tractor with different skins and an IH 1550 loader. The loader return was plumbed into the filler plug with a "T" pipe and the plug was on the top of the "T". If I remember correctly full is an inch or so below the filler hole. It can make a difference if the loader is fully raised especially if it has single acting cylinders on the boom.
