I have had a Saginaw 3 point on my '53 Super M for three years. I use a grader blade and 6 foot Bush Hog. It works great! Is this hitch/tractor combination useable with 3 point plows e.g. 3 point moldboard, 4 row cultivator etc.? Any issues with axle housing breakage where the 3 point attaches? Thanks

w6 tractor: Axle housing breakage will never be an issue, Super M can't get enough traction to break those.

It will plow fine if your just doing a few acres, as you will find yourself doing manual corrections. That might get rather exhausting on 50 or 100 acres. I expect you could install a depth wheel on the plow. One problem you'll run into with plowing is tractor wheel tread. 2 bottom mounted plows require a wheel under 60" and that is quite narrow for an SM. 3 bottom mounted will allow you to set wheels 66" to 72" and that is where automatic draft control would help for traction. Since SM quite handily pulled 3 bottom trailer plows, if you have 3 bottom with a gauge wheel, it should work.

Cultivator will work great with gauge wheels.

Thanks, Hugh. I was concerned about the load on the axle housing. Glad it won't be a problem.
