I "discovered" an IH 2001 manure bucket only loader yesterday. The unit came off a Farmall 340 and has a hydraulic cylinder. In the deep snow/time constraint, I didn"t scrap away the snow for a good close look at the bucket. I didn"t see any welds. Was I a dummy for not buying it on the spot for $1100...hey, I heard that!

Where are all these low cost loaders? I keep looking for a reasonably priced rebuildable 1500 or 1700 or even a 2000 and I havn't found squat. I have a 424 that could use one.

I think that was me;

2000 loader: cap 2330; weight 1350; 2 bucket cylinders

2001 loader: cap 2575; weight 1071; 1 bucket cylinder

1710 loader; cap 2575; weight 911; 1 bucket cylinder

All three have the same lift cylinders; the 2000 and 2001 tie in at the rear to the rear wheel axle housings. The 1701 connects mid tractor.

There"s also a light duty 1501; cap 1300, weight 873

I think $1100 for a 2001 loader (with a usable bucket) in good shape is a reasonable price. I paid $350 for this rusty 1701, $300 for a good bucket, $100 to have the dump cylinder rebuilt, had it sandblasted before I primed and painted it, new bushings, new pins, a couple hoses . . . well you get the idea . . .

Here is a a picture of a manual cover showing the IH 2001 loader. The tractor "iron yard" guy said no snow bucket attachment came w/loader, just the manure tine bucket. Loader had decals and no noticeable leaks on cylinders or hoses. I"ve got to go searching for info someone posted a while back giving weight and lifting capacity of 2000/2001 and another loader.

I have an IH 2001 loader on my 544D (rowcrop). Its freshly painted, rebuilt bucket cylinder, (new cylinder isnt even available), manure/dirt bucket, and a big ol snow bucket. Have been told it's worth $1800-$2500. Alot of loaders sitting in used equip yards around here, for the prices they want any heavy build loader is holding a high value. Older weaker trip bucket types are mostly going for scrap price.

I dunno much about those IH loaders; just don't see many of 'em around these parts, but that price sure seems cheap enough.

This one is probably 30 some years old and I thought I bought it right at $2900.

I dont know much about those loaders, but seems high for most loaders. I see loaders around here for 5 to 600 all day long that seem to be very stout loaders.

You can get running tractors easily for that price. Someone please correct me, cause I'm sure I'm wrong, heh
