Farmall 350 Diesel Update

Now that I have my Farmall 350 diesel engine apart and checked, the following is what I have had to do to date. The crankshaft was broken between the center main and the third rod bearing. The head was cracked in seven places. The valves are in bad shape. The block checked out OK with no problems even after the broken crank. I found and purchased a rebuilt crankshaft, rebuilt head, and engine rebuilt kit (sleeves, pistons, bearings - rod, main, & camshaft, and gasket set) and have had the block cleaned. I am having problems finding new valves. I have tried Montes Equipment (where I bought the rebuild kit), Mashall's Tractor Parts, the local salvage yard (they could get me exhaust valves for $75 each but can get valve springs reasonably priced so ordered the springs), and my local machine shop. Anyone know where else I can look for something at a more reasonable price. I did find Egge Machine in California that can make me new valves at a reasonable price if I send them one of each intake and exhaust valves. Roger

I also have a 350 Diesel that i need parts for such as rings and rod bearings, and a gasket set. You mention Monte's equipment and other sources. If you could provide me with their phone numbers and what parts you got from each location, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I got most of my new parts from Montes Equipment at 1-800-228-2625. I just recently called Glen at Little Red Tractor and he has some new and some used parts (some valves, but not all). His number is 1-888-802-5782. I also got some parts from a person in Canada. Back in December I asked this question originally and got several other places which didn't pan out, but may help you. Search for Farmall 350 Diesel in December. Finally, ask a question on this forum with what parts you need and many times people will come up with them. Roger

Roger, believe it or not, I have been getting a few parts from the local Massey dealer. The engine is a continental and so are a lot of the old Masseys. If you can get a part number they may be able to match things up.

Roger unless you can find used or nos you will have to have them custom made. Have you checked with Glen at The Little Red Tractor Company? The last time I was hunting parts for my 350 diesel he told me he had all but one in a set.I will look up his number if you don't have it.

George, Thanks for the info on the Little Red Tractor Company. I called Glen and he was able to get me 4 new exhaust valves and two intake valves. I still need to find two more intake valves. He also had some other 350D parts I needed and I will need more as my engine and tractor project continues. Roger
