If you are looking for one, go to the left side of this page near the top, and click on photo ads. Click on tractors; type in Farmall and enter. Dean Hinton has just listed a 100. I have found him to be unusually honest in his descriptions. Good guy to deal with. mike

PRTZMAN55: There is not a lot I can add to what George and Andrew have already told you. These are a great little tractor, however they are approaching or past 50 years of age by now, and like any other tractor can be in good or poor condition from those years of use. You just look them over good and pay accordingly

Having said all of this, if you get a good one these little tractors will give you years of economical use for yard work and property maintenance. When something does break as all tractors do, these little tractors do not commit much of an assualt on one's pocket book. I would have no problem setting out right tomorrow to farm 50 acres with one of these.

In the 1940s-50s my late Uncle Wallace farmed a 100 acres and milked a 20 cow herd with a Farmall Super A as his only source of farm power. He had time to sing in the local church choir every Sun. plus travelled the country side taking part in a male choir, and they raised 9 children. By the way his front end loader was a manure fork.

scotty: Careful they can pile snow high enough to bury a minivan. Speaking of which, I'm going out to plow snow. Haven't plowed it in over a week and we've been getting a bit every night.

The 100 came after the Super A, (actually after the Super A-1) it has the 123Cid motor and is rated at about 20-21hp. has hydros, can have fast hitch, foot throttle. All have a wide front end. I bought one a while ago and lost interest still all covered up., I thought I was going to get inot the hundered series but I feel into the Supers instead. They are good working tractors and nice around the yard.

I am not Hugh, but I know some answers. All 100s had wide fronts, they all had 123 engines. Make sure hydraulics work good not to much play in steering, condition of tires and general cosmetics. See that it has weights on rear wheels a fasthitch or fixed drawbar these are expensive if you have to buy later. Also the 100 has chrome lettering make sure its there it is expensive too. It all depends on condition and your price range.
