I'm rebuilding a IH 200 manure spreader an need to know what size were the original tires.I think they were probably 750-20 like the New Idea spreaders and corn pickers but I'm not sure.Anyway I am looking for a pair of used ones. Keith

I have reatored a #200 and a #21 IH manure spreader during the last two summers. the original tire size was 7.50-20. I chose the titan tires for both of mine. No other brand looked as well or was as cheap. I had to replace the frames and sides also. Does anyone need parts or want to buy the IH #200. It is in excellent shape with new paint and decals.

When I started this project I thought it was going to be easy but it turned into quite a job The main angle iron frame had to be replaced the steel sides were all rotted out and had to be replaced.New floor. I had to rebuild the beaters. A lot of cutting, welding and brazing, wire brushing and painting later and its getting to look pretty good. All I need now is some tires and a toung stand and I will be done. I found out this spreader was built between 1941 and 1954.I think it is good for another 60 years. Keith

Too bad I did not find you earlier. I have some new old stock parts for the 200 spreader, especially some of the wheel hubs with the drive dogs and cams, etc. Also a drag chain bar as well as a complete set of beater bars. I"ve had them for several years and would sell them reasonable.

You can try Gempler's at 1-800-382-8473. Any idea what ply tire would be used on these spreaders? Hal

You are right on the 750-20 tire size. I do not know of anyone that makes the closed cleat type. I am restoring an IHC 200 spreader also. Titan tire makes a tire that size but with an open cleat. That is what I purchased for my project. I think they will look fine. I have one used closed cleat tire but could not fine another one so I bought the Titans. Found a jackstand at a salvage yard and was happy about that. Lets stay in touch. Maybe we can help each other.

The IHC Spreader is ground driven and made of steel including sides. It has a wood tongue and groove floor however. A closed cleat tire is when the cleats have no open space between them. This Spreader was first marketed about 1940 and was rated 65 bushel. They also made a # 100 smaller Spreader. Fun projects if you can find all the parts. They are old!

I like spreaders so I had to read. I"m clueless as to the term open/closed cleat. Is this model spreader pto driven; wood or steel? Glad you folks are preserving the implements - storage is the biggy for them. Thanks in advance for your time/reply.
