I am trying to find photos of a IH model 120 sickle mower to check on how it should be mounted.
I have a draw bar and a 3 point hitch on my Kubota 6800 tractor

I pull a 7 foot drawbar pull heavy duty Bush Hog brand rotary cutter with M and it is pretty good match and does excellent job, in tall thick grass it gets to be a little more than M needs though. Around here everyone pulls drawbar pull rotary cutters for anything above 8 foot or so even with new tractors.

What kind of mower? Are you looking to make hay? Then you will need a sickle bar mower. Looking to clean up brush/overgrowth and not make hay? Then you need a brush hog type mower.

They make pull type of both kinds. If you're looking for a sickle bar, go with an IH balanced head trailer mower. Model number would be 100 or 1100. The drawbar mounted mower is a 120 or 1120.

Dunno about brush hog type mowers, never used one.

I needed a pull type mower for my 1940 H and couldn"t find here that was worth buying. Had an older 3 point shredder that needed some repair and ended up making it a pull type by revising the 3 point to be a tounge, and putting a adjustable axle across the back. Rewelded the decking that had broke loose and the angle iron frame. worked out pretty good.
