Has anyone ever seen or heard of the availability of factory dual wheels for the F20? I have one that came from Nebraska that has what seems to be a factory set. The tires and wheels match the age of the tractor and the rancher is a friend who said it was brought to the ranch that way when bought new. Thanks!

They don't show up in the parts book but they were probably available through the dealer when the tractor was new. The ones I have seen look like they were made by French & Hecth. They may have been one of those things that was available through IH, but was unique to a certain region and wasn't popular enough to make it into the parts book.

There were plenty of F20s here in NZ and a few F30s. Never saw duals on any. One mechanic told me they occasionally did bearings in because of the short axle shaft and hence close bearing spacings. This happened mostly in working on hill country, and often on steel wheels. NZ farmers made their tractors earn their keep! I imagine duals would make matters worse. Some tractors were better than others at breaking off rear axles. MM 'z' was one (on steel), and later Case 830 standard axle on dual rubbers.

Yes duals were an option,If I remember correctly they used two 5by 36 in tires,I remember they really filled a 14in furrow. Those were still available on the H's also,

Oh yeah. Lots of them around here. This was all row-crop country and they ran the duals on the lister ridges. I see both factory and shop-built
