About two months ago I posted asking some questions on some old wheels/rims we used on a trailer at the farm to haul out plants. Found out it was from a 1934 (or there abouts) Ford V8. The trailer had been sitting under a grove of pine trees for the last 20 years and overgrown in poison ivy. Two of the rims were in good shape so I had them sand blasted and fixed them up to use on a trailer I am having made. Trailer will be styled after the small Cub trailers to pull behind my SA in parades and such.

Was kind of proud of how they turned out and wanted to show it off. Now if I just had the trailer to put them on.

I remember your earlier post(think I even replied to it). Your wheels turned out great- post a pic of the final product too!

And, like mentioned below, repo hubcaps are EASY to find for those...

Yep, '34 /'35 Ford wheels, usually 600x16's mounted on, they look nice and if you can find some hub caps for the centers that will really set it off..Apple green?

6.50 X 16's tires on the rim.

Michael, I have the old hub caps but they are sure beat up. What I am doing is cutting the old spindles off and useing them along with a new axle. After that I am going to paint it all red and let the spindles show thru the rim. I think those old spindles are longer than new ones and will come to just shy of the outside of the rim. It has a screw on dust cover so it should look good.

The hub caps have been reproed for decades; maybe five. Some are better than others. I suppose the bests ones are the most expensive, but none of them are high priced. I think there are four or five different styles depending on the year and whether the vehicle had four or eight cylinders. Originals were made with stainless steel. Some of the repros are chrome plated.
