This manifold on Ebay has the pipe in it. It would save be from having to buy a reciprocating saw to get mine out if I bought this one for cheap.

Mike, I have an original H manifold from Louisville that I will let you have for cheap. It has a good pipe, but has a small rust hold on the back side. I have used some manifold putty on a C manifold and it is holding fine. On this one, the patch would not show. Interested?

Who says you have to spend big bucks on a recip saw?
A hacksaw will work just fine, take a little longer but they are cheap and something you should have anyway.

The recipro Saw you need to do that task can be an inexpensive one. You may not need a 180.00$ milwalkee. Northern Tool, or unclaimed freight, or Big Lots type places sell them at a 55$ price point that will be handy for many non-professional jobs. I understand the cost issue, but even a black and decker jig saw from a used tool/pawn shop will do this task. Be sure to cut off the old pipe 1/8" above the manifold casting. This leaves only a ring of metal to remove. This task will seem like small potatoes when you tackle the sheetmetal, and other intended repairs. If you change the manifold, and twist off five studs, you will feel a much worse reality set in. This is a sport for patient, dilligent, high effort, input. Your friend, Jim

Mike, go to the tool crib and check one out overnight! Can't imagine one of your mech buddies can't come up with a sawsall. If they don't want to lend a tool just take the manifold in there. What is your rating, PN?

My rate is AT, but I work at the hospital. I came from another base, so don't know anyone in the squadrons here well enough to scam a tool out of them. But even if I did, the Tractor is 200 miles north, so I need to take my tools up to it. Which is why, to answer a question you asked a while back, you haven't seen any progress updates. I ask questions when I think about what I want to do on the tractor when I go up to work on it, which I haven't done yet. I save the answers, like the one about the pipe, and will take them with me, along with tools and such.

check with vinson tractor in murray KY. they build manifolds for all models and can probably fix you up with a new one at a fair price. Plus it will be american made.

Mike, just because that manifold has the pipe still in it does not mean that you won't end up replacing the pipe anyhow. If your manifold is good, just replace the pipe that's already in it. I have purchased used maniflods at auctions, and even bought one on ebay, ALL of them still had the pipes in them, and ALL of those pipes had to be replaced.

No, it's a regular gas manifold.
