Will the 460 bull Pinion shaft interchange with a 350 shaft? The one in my 350 is broke and I know that they changed those in the 460 when thay had those rearend problems, so I want to put it in my 350 if it wil fit.

I just had to replace one in my 460. I got a used one out of a 350 and it worked. I was told the way to tell just from looking on the outside was to measure the rear axle diameter. If the 460 has the small 2 in. axle it will interchange with the 350. If it has the larger 2 3/8 in. axle it won"t. The larger axles in the 460 are from the later years, but will interchange with am M or 560, etc. I don"t know if this info is always true but it worked for me. Good luck.

Go to case-IH's link below and check for youself. I dont know if yours is a farmall or international, gas or deisel or what. Once you get the 2 tractors exploded view for the bull pinion, you might have to check serial, because the one i looked at before I realized you didnt mention exactly which tractors, there is 2 shafts listed for one tractor and it depends on the serial #. Also, from what I see the shaft and gear are one package? Wish I could be of more help.

I am not sure whether those will interchange or not, but the transmission gears will. I put gears out of a 460 in my 350.
