Jerry: the Farmall 544 came with both the Fasthitch and the 3 point. There are a lot of parts between the two that are not in common. IH still sells the individual parts but not the assemblies. It would be cheaper and easier to find a complete 3 point hitch from a tractor yard. The 544 3 point came with an adjustable toplink (not to be confused with the hydraulic toplink in the picture) and sliding lower links that made hookup easier. third party imagethird party image

Chris: Do you have any photos of fast hitch on tractors after 04-06. I am quite familiar with fast hitches up to the end of 460-560 production. I have never seen a fast hitch on the later tractors. All the ones that came to our area were 3 point hitch.

I'd like to see one, just curious how difficult the conversion is. I have a gut feeling it's much easier than folks make it sound.

Sorry Hugh, the only Fasthitch tractor I have is my Super C. My 544 in the pictures has the IH 3 point with sliding links. I am looking at my IH parts manual and see that every part between the two hitches is different. Oops, I missed the opportunity for a Saturday night joke last night. Here's one for ya: Where do bees go to take a leak? The BP station.
