-someone sent this to me but the ending has a ring of truth

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his farmall,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries, then
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his butt

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

Put these words
upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me
to my doom..."

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

COMMENTS: Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in theworld. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and "Mom" stayed home to raise the kids.

What happened?

And NOW I have to "press 1" for English?

shoo giesty: First I thought your were a Canadian, then as I read on I decided you were an American. Then you added this thing, push one for English. Surely Americans don't have to push one for English? I guess it really doesn't matter whether you north or south of the border, most of this could quite easily appy either place.

The sad thing is though, we voted for all of this and got exactly what we deserved. It won't work, we all know that, well with the exception of folks on the gravey train. I don't know which you put the bounty on politicians or bureauacrats?

Has anyone ever compiled a list of all the taxes in the US? And along with this does anyone know of how many government employes there is total at the Federal and state level as well a local?
Perhaps some computer guy with time on their hands has done this you would think.

We deserve the government that we elect. Here in Wisconsin the voters recently put our governor in for another four years and he is trying to raise every fee and tax he can get his hands on. Will we ever learn?

George: Do you folks really have to press one for English? If so, perhaps it's time you threw the tea in Boston Harbour again.

This may be why some elected officals are trying to get firearms away from the citizens, so that after the "tea is thrown into Boston harbor" again that the citizens can not overthrow them.

I received this this morning, probably most of you have all ready seen it.

I would like to look into that illegal alien status myself. I think then I could recieve a small business grant and become a proprietor.

I think you have to be from a selected country to get the Government loan for the business. I know thats how the Chinese and Indians have bought out California. I see it here too. Every liquor store and half the gas stations are owned by some Oriental.

OK so lets talk about educating the Mexicans. It takes two teachers to even communicate with them because they cant speak English. In school here you better not call one a Mexican either, that will land you in OCS or worse.

My son is fixing to go to college but he has to over come the stigma of being White. If your Black you get in ahead of the White guys. Plus dont even consider getting a loan, thats for minorties.

I am not interested in a loan those have to be paid back. I want a grant. You also forgot to mention motels nearly all of the motels I have stayed in for the last 10 or 12 years have been owned and operated by people who could barely speak any English at all. And for the Mexicans I to do not understand why we should pay two teachers per class. The last I checked this was supposed to be an ENGLISH speaking country. I fully expect if I were to move to Saudia Arabia I would have to learn Arabic to make it. So why should we (The TAX PAYERS of this country)be expected to cater to every TOM,DICK and Harry to come along. What would be wrong with them learning to be AMERICAN and to speak English. They claim to be in search of the American dream so why not go all the way.
