Someone posted a photo last month of a PTO pump installation. Don"t know why I can"t access archives for January, but would you post the photo again? Particularly interested in how it is attached and bracketed against torquing. Thanks

I am probably the "somebody" you are searching for. My installation is not typical. The other photos in this thread are more in line with the instructions included with a new pump.

Your installation is probably much better for these older tractors - the irons are holding the weight of the pump instead of the weight being put on the PTO shaft bearing. Nice job, I say!

This is the PTO pump on our 1256. Basically you bolt an angle iron to the pump and it pushes agains the drawbar - you put a chain on the bottom of the iron to hold it from sliding back...

We have one on a 560 and it has a piece of angle iron and a chain on it.
