Have a chance to get an Int. 584 with 4 wheel drive and loader. I have a 584 2 wheel drive and it is a great tractor. Have never had a 4 wheel drive other than a small Kubota. I was told that this tractor with 4 wheel drive has an extremely wide turning circle and that this is a problem. Is it that bad? Is it a lot wider than other 4 wheel drives?
This tractor came to the states from Canada and the loader is not a 2250. The owner says it is better than a 2250, that it is more heavy duty. It is a quick detatch loader and the bucket is also quick detatch. I don't know the make.
Is this tractor so rare that parts will be hard to find? I have not seen a 584 with 4 wheel drive before.
Any specific problems to look for on this tractor?
Would $10,500 US be a reasonable price for this outfit in average or above average condition?
Thanks in advance for any help/info.

Hi, Don, it's a Kimco FWD axle, a japaneese brand. The parts are out of prize. Check for wear on the drive shaft yoke and spline, also for the hubs pivot, check the axle bearings and hub for some play. The Ujoints on the front axles are very expensive too. Not a good front axle for loader job, not like a ZF. Bernard le mécano Québec Canada

Thanks for the info guys. I looked at the tractor yeaterday and decided not to buy it based on a few problems that would need to be dealt with.

If it has the Z.F. axle ok, but parts can be a problem/expensive for the Japaneese one they used early on. Parts for the rest of the tractor are ok.

Hi,Don. I have a neighbor that has had a 584 four wheel drive for the past 15 years or so with a loader and he loves it. I am guessing that is a good price the loaders cost over half that amount. I cant speak about the turning radius I have not operated this tractor. I do have a 584 that I bought new and it is an outstanding tractor, but only two wheel drive.
