I am working on a Remote Control Valve/ Aux. Control Valve ( converts one way hyd into two way)for my Farmall H. My questions, how do you adjust the 2 nuts on the spool? Is the control rod that is used with it the same diameter as the Lift-All control rod? Mine is worn so I want to make a bushing. Thanks!!

The control rod on my M aux valve is the same diameter as the liftall rod.

I'm not sure what nuts you're referring to, I don't recall any adjustments. The parts lists for the two are identical, except for the brace to the gas tank bolt.

Is this the dude?

I used the CNH online parts search:

Then I copied the picture and uploaded so I could link to it.

Thanks for Replying!!! That is the valve. The 2 nuts that I am not sure how to adjust are #6 in the diagram.

To adjust if all the lines are out of ports I think you can look through rear ports and tell when spool is in center. If its on tractor adjust until you get pressure at one port then the other by moving lever the same distance from center. You can adjust with rear ports dead headed, just listen to engine start to labor.

I'm sitting her tapping my foot waiting for Allan, Hugh, Bob M and the other people who really know to chime in.

The names of those parts are:
4 AUXILIARY CONTROL VALVE CENTERING SPRING 5 AUX. CONTROL VALVE CENTERING SPRING WASHER 6 AUX. CONTROL VALVE CENTERING SPRING SPACER 7 AUXILIARY CONTROL VALVE CENTERING SPRING LOCK

Looks like you adjust that nut so the spring returns the valve to center, i.e., no fluid moving through either hose. All the parts are "retired", so don't do what I usually do in these situations and drop a little piece in the shop floor debris!
