Neighbor lady will be selling a Farmall 400, serial# 408075. I am trying to help her price it. Tires are poor, surface rust and grease front to back. Has Schwartz wide front and do not know about torque. Tractor was running when shedded 2 years ago and has not been run since. Need help with starting asking price. Any help will be appreciated.

The Schwartz wide front alone is worth about $600. Good straight sheetmetal, even if it"s rusty, should be worth about $300 or more. I"d price it at atleast $1,500. You can always come down. Don"t let anyone steal it.

put it on e-bay (auction) . if the engine's free , & the tin is somewhat decent , & the wide front is good - it should bring around 6 or 700 & could fetch a grand . if tin & front are tough & engine's stuck - then 400 will prob'ly be about all

I can't or won't price yours . I had a nice 400 with rebuilt motor and the torque had less than 1 hour on it., tires fair. It took a year & half to get 1600 out of it

From the description I would say 400$ no more. If the lady had someone start it and it ran, with a good TA it would be 1200$ no more. It would be worth getting it running unless it was either badly stuck, or internally broken, JimN

Sorry Georgeky serial numbers go over 41000. Think they may have added the S on tag as a number on end,but don't know.

Fast Hitch? Power Steering? 3-lever hydraulics? And most importantly condition, condition, condition. From $600 to $4000!

You have one to many numbers in the serial number. Don't want to get into the price.

Sorry on the serial #. Drop the last number, it was supposed to be the letter S. Tractor does have 3 remotes and power steering.
