I have seen them in pictures but never have seen one in person. A mounted plow for an "H". I have seen the ones for a "C" and you had to take the draw bar off so I guess the one for an "H" you would do the same thing. It always looked like part of the plow went up to the belly pump in those hole underneath. Do any of you folks know anything about them?

I have a 2-way plow for my C and don't have to remove the drawbar. You must have seen some other type than mine. I find that implements around the country differ a lot, especially from a small farm area like mine. Good luck finding a plow, I'll keep my eye out. I see one of those H plows every once in a while.

I have 2x12 mounted plow for my C I just move the drawbar over to the left so the front coulter dont hit it when lifting plow. If stops on coulter are in good shape you dont even have to move it.

If you mean a disk plow, we had one, an H-M 150 on an H. Ours had 3 disks, it could be converted to two, but an M could have easily pulled four. The lift mechanism, etc mounted to the axle housings, the main pull was underneath connected to a heavy rod that attached to brackets mounted on each side of the clutch housing. It had a steerable rear (furrow) wheel that connected to the front bolster. The only advantage that I know of is that you could back the thing up into corners, etc, that is it was somewhat more manuverable than a pull type plow. It turned easily to the left (normal plow direction), to the right it would not exactly turn on a dime. Took me about 30 minutes to hook up. So the tractor could not be used for anything else until the plowing was done.

I remember the H puled it in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and the M pulled it in 3rd.

Saw several around when Hs were being used for full time farming. The plows did a good job but switching from plow to disk etc. was a big job so most people I knew went to trailer plows just pull pin from clivis untie trip rope and drive off.

We have had our "H" as long as I can remeber and we always used pull type equipment. I would like to have one of those plows. I wonder where they all went?
