I am in search of the side dresser bracket for the left-hand side of my farmall super av. To my knowledge there seem to be two different models. One that is straight out from where it mounts to the tractor and one that is curved upward from where it mounts to the tractor. I have the righ-hand bracket which is curved upward from where it mounts. I cannot find the matching left-hand side bracket...if anyone has info on this i would greatly appreciate the help.
thank you,
blase

Well I got it figured out now. The fertilize arm for the left hand side of the 101 Fertilize Unit is the square tube and doesnt look anything like the one for the right hand side. The hopper bracket looks the same that the hopper sits in. Both bolt to the bell housing. The one on the left has a smaller sprocket. In the 144 cultivator manual it clearly shows it on page 33.

I dont think we ever had one of these for the left and I didnt see it yesterday.

Try calling Sam Adams in Tatum, Texas and see if he has one. 903-836-4688.

Or you might try Christians in Tyler, Texas 1-800-527-2668. Ask for Allen.

I dont think they will be the same height from what I see. Looks like the one on the left might end up a little lower. Hard to tell tho from what I see.

If you want me too I can copy a few pages from this manual and send them to you. Send me an email if you interested.

You might even fab one if you had the extra hopper and hopper support.

They did make one for other side. I do not know any numbers but I have a set of them. Mine work like new but it has been many years since you could read anything on them. When I got mine I put them on a C for two rows, they rode a little close to lift arms so I added two inches to the beam to gain clearence. They are curved up a little.

The fertilize attachemnt is covered in the 144 Cultivator Manual so you might want to get it. It shows a 101 Fertilize Unit. The support arms look straight from what I can tell in this manual.

According to what it shows that hopper on the left is an extra hopper and not actually needed. Another optional piece is the fertilize divider.

Its been years and years since I have seen ours hooked up so I dont even know if all the parts are there. I dont think we ever had the extra hopper, least not from what I recall.

Went to the farm and found the fertilize attachment. The arm on the one I have is curved up like I think what you are talking about. Now, I dont think this one is for a Super A, I think it is for a 140 instead. Maybe the confusion is that the Supper A fertilize attachment had a straight arm and the 140 had a curved one. I did find one number on it, #513999R1, its for the right hand side.

I did find another arm but it was broke and just the arm (curved part) laying there.

Do you think your fertilize attachment might have came off a 140 instead of a Super A?

I am not sure. I purchased this attachment from a pretty reputable place that deals with this material and it is supposed to be from a super a. The manual i have also looks as if it is curved upward. The left side is hard to find since most farmers ran a single hopper on the a model tractors.

Any fertilize unit that would fit on a Supper A would also fit a 140.

The link below shows the 101 and this is what mine is. Still I cant tell what the arm looks like in the left exactly. Looks like it might mount to a square tube.

Maybe Hugh will chime in with what he knows.
