I've tried the classifieds with no responses so will try our forum. I have a NOS swinging drawbar for my fast hitch Super C tractor. I need the pivot pin p/n 359584R1 to install on the tractor. Trying to be correct with the tractor so I'm looking for the correct pin or dimensions so I can make one on a lathe. If anyone has a pin and could provide the dimensions for fabricating one it would certainly be appreciated. I've tried all the normal places I'm aware of for finding obsolete and retired IH parts without success. Thanks for any assistance anyone can provide, have a great day ya'll, Hal.

My SC w/Fast-Hitch uses a pin with a rounded rivet-like head and has a cotter pin to keep it in place. I believe that is original equipment.

Thanks Wayne for your response. If I provide a mailing address would be able to provide a sketch of your pin or even a tracing that I could use to make a pin? Are you able to provide any deminsions from your pin using a caliper or other measuring device? I'm in south central Missouri are you anywhere close? My email is open if you want to provide any information off the forum. Thanks again for supporting this effort, Hal.

Wayne: That is the type of pin came from my box full of auction items. Since IH used that type on pin in a lot of applications, I'm not sure the size is right. Roughly 7/8" or 1", about 4-5 inches long.

Hal: How large is that pin? I came home from an auction one day last fall with two boxes full of items, quite a bit of it IH hitch items, even a few pins. There is one must be close to 1" diameter and 4"-5" long.

Hugh, I measured the hole in the drawbar and it is a little shy of 15/16". I'm thinking the pin is probably 7/8" (.875 in.) to allow for clearance. From the shoulder under the head the length would have to be 4 1/2" - 5" as the quick attachable cotter pin hole would have to be between the bottom of the hitch and the end of the pin. The bolt goes through the attaching point on the tractor at an angle and is not straight up and down. The axis of the pin is probably off the vertical at something around 10 or 15 degrees. Don't know if the cotter pin hole would be parallel to bottom surface of the drawbar or perdendicular to the shaft of the pin. I've never seen the correct pin before so don't know any of it's characteristics. Thanks for your response, Hal.

Hal: I in my shop today so I checked that pin I have. It's only 3-1/2" long and 15/16" in diameter.

Thanks Hugh for checking - I think we all have a problem at our age with length embellishment. Boy we had a nice one today in south central Missouri. I spent most of the day with a chain saw cleaning up from the ice storm of a month or more ago a lot of unscheduled work to do. Take care, Hal.
