Getting a little fustrated here. Hydralic oil was getting into engine crankcase. So, I removed the pump and installed new seals. Still have the same problem and pump has a binding sound at times. Is something else wrong with the pump or did I get the seals in there wrong? Should I just send the pump out to a shop or bite the $524 bullet for a new one? Really appreciate your help!! Thanks

Gordy,

Those things are built with an aluminum body running steel gears.

Sure sounds like it is pump time and doubt if a shop could do anything with it anyway.

Shaft wear can be a problem in two areas. One is the seal lip location, if it is worn (grooved) it will continue to leak. If the pump bearings are worn, (and the housing is still good without gear wear on the sides of the housing) it could be rebushed (still pretty expensive), or a different pump will be needed.
A worn groove can be repaired with a speedy sleeve over the groove, and a seal to match the new diameter. Good luck JimN

In the early 60's I had a super H that had the same problem, Replaced the seals with IH seals twice I took the shaft to a bearing company to find the shaft was metric, used metric seals and cured the problem,Might not be your problem but I would check it out
