Industrial version tractor, the same as W4 (Standard or Wheatland),1953. Same engine and many of the same components as the Farmall H

Depends on where youre from.Down south we dont see hardly any standards let along an I-4.My brother has one, call it a lucky find. Most of the internal enine parts are the same as a H,but the tranny is different from the Ws and Hs.Sheetmetal is also different and hard to come by.

According to Guy Fayes IH Data Book, just a little over 3000 W4's were produced in 1953 and 1954. All the ser. #'s were interspersed with I4's and Heavy Duty I4's, in other words, I have no clue.

I saved I-4 5859 about 10foot from the crusher in a junk yard. Its exzactly like you guys have described except the rear rims are 12-28.It had a hough loader,no pto,as been yellow, red, black. Yellow appears to be it original color. I would like to know if the rear rims are factory and what exactly makes up a Heavy-duty I-4. Thanks in advance.aggearhead
