I FOUND A CATERPILLAR 10 IN A BARN, I WAS INTERESTED IF ANYONE WOULD KNOW WHAT ITS WORTH AND WHERE I COULD FIND THE SN OR ID PLATE. THANKS MATT

Matt to identify the crawler look on the back of the seat. It should have three brass tags on it. Lots of times the tags dont make it through the years. Whith this in mind you might see rivets or holes. I'm not sure of any other way to get the serial #. Production began in 1928 with # PT-1 and ended in 32 with PT-4929. Let me know what you find. There are two other places you can look. One is between the seat and the left hand steering clutch lever, there should be a number stamped on the flat area on the top of the transmission case. The other place to look is on the right hand side of the engine at the front top. There's a flat machined area that looks like a mount for a generator, the number should also be stamped on that.
