i have a case 1150b crawler/loader. was operating it yesterday and the transmission pressure just went away. I hadn't had any issue at all until then, and it seemed to go away all at once. if i shut the machine off and let it get cold(overnight)i get strong pressure when i first fire it up and the trans/steering works fine, but after about 5 minutes, it just drops off again. at no time has the converter temp gotten hot. I checked the fluid level, changed both filters and checked the suction screen (it was actually very clean) but no luck. I had the charging pump changed a couple years ago, but as strong as the pressure is when i first start up i'm not sure that is it this time. What am i missing?

Transmission relief valve or modulator valve. I would first replace the seals in the modulator valve and then the releif valve. Then recheck the trans pressure and reset as required. I take it that the suction line was checked on the bottom of the trans, if not do that first. The suction line has been known to separate internally after the hose gets warm and ack like a restrictor valve.
