gatractorman, thought I would let you know that a fellow came by and wanted my 743 worst than I wanted to keep and rebuild it. Found out too late that it was a 743B 1989 model, so I probably sold it too cheap. So I am skidsteerless now also.

I've got an 873 here now with a bad engine guy offered to sell it to me at a good price, Bobcat wants $5500 for a new engine but I think I can beat that a bunch, problem is this durn shop I'm building is taking all my money and I'm gonna hate to go take a loan out to buy it and fix it.

I am using the money I received from the sale of the 743 to insulate the roof of my shop. Tired of the cold. Have a 8 foot tall by 4 foot diameter stove and can't keep the shop warm. So it goes.

I know the feeling, I'm insulating mine as I go but still afraid I'm gonna have the same problem, just a 40x50 building but I got 16' ceiling on the sides and 20' in the middle, I can just see all that heat hovering about 10' above my head LOL, mabye a fan hung up high to keep it circulating.

Any fan will do. Anything to move the air. Stick an old window fan up high for starters to see the difference.

Nat, I hate to price another man's stuff (wouldn't make a very good salesman would I?) so I'll tell you about this 873, it's got 1700 hours showing, F-series, I figure its a '97-'98 model, a dealer down here ( not the one I worked for) has this same B/C advertised for $15,800, the 863 dont bring quite as much as 873 because of the boom arm style, however the 863 style is tougher, I have saw alot of boom arm problems on 873's, I figure if I get this 873 I have here I should be able to sell it quick and make a tidy profit at $13000, bout 60% tires 1 odd, and just a smooth bucket.

Hi:

I was wondering if you might be able to help me. I have a 2000 873 bobcat w/ 1087 hrs., that has been giving me some problems. A while back it would not start. Turned out it was a 1 or so inch relay box that is under a cover that is right below the seat near where your legs are. Today I went to start it and again it would not start. I tried a new relay box again but it didn't work either. In addition, I was wondering does the glow plugs come one where you can see it count down on the meter) in the summer or should you see it all the time?

Thanks,
