Where can I get a brush guard for the 7 ft blade on my D450 Case Dozer. If I make one myself, what should I make it out of, what type of steel? Any idea where I could get a picture of a brush guard to copy?

Thanks

The Local JD dealer makes them from .250 wall 2"x4" tubing they extend 16"-18" from top of moldboard. There are 3 verticle uprights and the uprights on the end angle in at approx 45 degrees to keep it out of a highwall when dozing with the blade angled.

When looking at the side, the top is tilted forward about 10-15 degrees.

When looking at the front, you see the 2" side of the tubing, and from the top, you see the 4" side of the tubing. (sort of like the frame of a wall)

The Dealer is Leslie Equipment 304 255 1525, they may be able to give you their web address. (I cant find it, even on the search engines) I think they have a pic of one on a 650H there. They close at noon on Sat., but are open 6-6 Mon-Fri EST.

I wish I had a pic to send, but here is a "computer art version"

If you mean a brush blade, go to wwwibdozing. Go to projects. A guy made one for a MF200 there.
