My dad used to move mountains with a 310 but it took a long time. He would dig a swimming pool around a 12" tree to get it out. I don't know about the C series but the early ones were simple to work on. They just had steering brakes not clutches and the engine clutch could be replaced thru the floorboard in about 2 hours. Good dependable old dozer just a little light in the saddlebags.

Although Case's 310 series machines
are small, one can still do a lot with
a small tractor- it just takes longer.
The 310 is a bit small for digging out
the stumps. I hope the "mountian-top"
you want to clear is not too large of
a mountain. I did see a Allis-Chalmers
HD5 for sale in NY at YT Photo Ads $2850.
That's a larger maching that would work
better for you. - Windancer
