I have had this dozer for two years and have never had the blade to shine up yet. I have built a water way, pushed brush, pushed in ponds, built miles of teraces and sitll will not shine. Any one have any good advice?

i had trouble with snow sticking to the blade on my tractor once. i just used a 6" wire wheel on a grinder to remove all of the rust and old paint then spray painted it. works and looks like new.

It sounds like your blade had a lot of rust and is pitted. If it is important to get it shinned up my advice is to get a sheet of T1 steel broke to fit and reline the blade.

Have a harvester front which was the same , last owner never shedded it, took off 1400ac of cereals & lupins & never polished it up ,Yes it fed lousy, had it sandblasted this year & thick coat of red oxide now we are nearly finished its as smooth & shiny as a marble floor.

Something you could try

IF you want that blade to shine grade some small stone around. 3/4" or so is good or better yet peel up a section of old gravel road and reshape it. I operate a JD 570 A road grader by day for a Township with 17 miles of gravel roads and I can tell you I have a shiny blade. This stuff takes the paint off new cutting edges in les than a day. On my own time I play with my Oc46 and other small rubber tire tractors.

After last harvest I would have cheerfully fanned the flames if it had caught a light, this yr it has performed faultlessly as soon as I finish i will undercoat it so it stays shiny

Thanks for the help. I was thinking about sand blasting, just have to find some one to do it for me. Have a freind that has a farm dozer and he let it set for about six month and the other day he said he push out two trees and it was polished. I could push two hundred trees and mine will not be polished.

sounds to me like you havent really put too many hours on your machine. if you use it enough the blade will pollish itself Ps i have operated hvy equipment since i was eight years old and even if your blade is pollished like a new penny
depending on moisture content ground will still stick to them its just there nature
