Ford 850 | I used to borrow my father-in-law's tractor to mow our field. We had someone plow the driveway winters. When our regular plow guy started sending teenagers to do it, they'd get stuck or not show up. When they hit our favorite young birch tree, I had enough. I bought my own loader tractor, a '55 Ford 850. It had more power than the 1900 I'd used and I soon offered to mow a couple neighbor's fields. Its so satisying when a great old machine can still pays for itself. I got pretty good using the bucket to clear the driveway, too: could do it in under and hour. I recently fitted out my tractor with a plow-blower. It mounts on the loader and has a hydraulic squirrel cage type blower on the end of the plow. Its cut my snow removal time in half.
