Yes, I do enjoy the old tractors. I run across old Farmalls' and others from time to time. I still have my Dad's old tractor from the late 30s to 40s'. He actually purchased it from Sears, Robuck & Co., when he lived in Calif. It has Ford Model A running gear, powered by a single cyl. Wisconsin engine. The units frame pivots mid way between the front mounted engine, trans, and rear end, so that it steer's this way. Has large 'handlebars' with independent front brakes/levers. This is actually how you steer the beast. Throttle is a rotating pipe, that runs hort. between the two 'handlebars', as I call them. The seat mount, is a 'leaf' type that actually is very well designed, with a conventional tractor type steel seat. Very small rear tires are just trailing, as the larger lug front tires, are the drivers. This is a very unusual tractor, that we have had for years and years. Now, since my Dad is gone, I will retire this vintage workhorse, with a new restoration,...he would have liked that. If anyone is interested, I will supply more information, as I believe I still have the original paperwork and manuals. I will also send pictures of the before and after 'project'.
