Have vacation the month of September and promised myself a couple things. One is to empty a perfectly good workshop that I haven't seen the floor in in years and make it useable (which will be an inspiration to keep it that way). Kitchens are portable here (apartments are rented with an empty room that has hookups) so workbench and storage can be had from free to expensive (counter top would handle anything I'd throw at it and cabinets would be plenty of storage). Was scratching my head on a parts washer. I have a small one from HF that I haven't opened yet because solvent for it is real expensive here and homebrew concoctions are hard to get rid of.
Now the brainstorm. Appliances here (because of portability/flexibility?) are self contained and just plug in. Dishwashers and washers heat their own water.
Wife's dishwasher has handled some pretty crusty/nasty pots and pans (I cook sometimes) and they come ut shiney new.
Was thinking to pick up a used dishwasher for use as a partswasher because I can get one cheaper that the solvent for my HF washer and use it for cleaning feed bowls, buckets, etc also. For anything real tuff, a shot of oven cleaner the day before should take care of it.
Should I quit my job and start designing workshops????
