The 1005 series was Massey's better series with the exception of the 1085 and the 1155. The 1085 was underpowered for their size and the V8 in the 1155 was too much for that rear end. We currently farm with a 1977 1135 that we bought a few years ago for $6500. Great running tractor kicks out around 120hp. Very simple no electronics to go wrong. We pull 6-16s without any problem. It could easily handle an 18' disk or a 30' field cultivator.
