I recently acquired a 47 8N with a tube type loader. The only 'name' I can find is a very faded yellow decal that I think says 'Mohawk'. The hydraulics run off a shaft from the front of the engine through the crank hole. The tubes have a couple of cracks that I can weld, but I am not sure that I want to. The whole thing looks kind of fragile. Almost looks like a home-built setup. Is this setup worth saving? The tractor is not running at the moment, but I was told that the loader did work before it was stored appx 10 years ago. Any info on Mohawk or tube loaders in general would be appreciated. I posted this on the 'N' Board also, but figured that I would try here too. I have checked the archives on ALL the boards, and can find only one reference to a Mohawk anything, and it was not a loader. Sorry about being so long winded. Thanks, Paul
