Hi Guys, I've got a yearling that has me scratchin' my head. First started noticing this three weeks to a month ago. Every once in awhile she won't come up to eat and really "looks like" she's bloated. She "hangs back", is all pouched up high on the left side at that rear stomach, kicking at her belly, will lay down, then immediately will get up walk around a little and lay back down again. Just obviously is in pain and off her feed. Not breathing hard or choking in the least and no slobber, but when this is going on, she looks "droopy eyed" and sick. She looks "gassed up". The weird part is that the next day she will be just fine again with no sign of that protruding "basketball". I'm feeding up last years hay, they have access to a little bit of new growth grass and I have been graining 'em for some time now, so I really don't think it is bloat even tho it looks like it. Maybe it's just my imaganation, but seems to always happen after a rain. Twisted gut? Hardware? Overfed? Every time I go to hook onto the trailer to take her to the Vet's, she's back to being okay again. Darned if I know; guess I'll just throw some magnets down her and see how she responds? Allan
