Got a question here .... my son has a newer quad, one of the bigger work types that sits 2 people side by side. Anyways, he finds that when the winch is really given a workout (like it was in the middle of a stream last weekend) the system can't provide the juice to really keep up with the winch demand. I think the engine had stalled when they were trying to get out and it couldn't be restarted so they were going just on the battery. Anyways, can another battery be wired into the system (in parallel) to provide extra battery when needed? Will the charging system be able to keep both batteries charged or is he stuck with the single battery? Maybe he can go to a bigger battery? This one with the unit is 28 amp hours (12 volt).
