Vernon - The quick answer is "it depends..." If the tractor has an original style 4 terminal regulator the fuse supply should be connected to the regulator "L" terminal. However if it's got only a 3 terminal regulator or has an alternator conversion simply connect the fuse wire to the ammeter post that's NOT connected to the battery. A simple test: After you get the fuse wire connected turn on the lights (presuming the lights work) or ignition without starting the engine. The ammeter should indicate discharge (should deflect to the left of 0).
