Hi, There was a sale in Carroll today. Lots of machinery sold, but we went intending to buy a Massey 550 combine. It went for $1100. A 510 went for $400. But right beside the 510 massey was something called a "Spra-Coupe". 200 gallon tank, electric jacks controlling the boom, 3 wheels, VW engine. Looking at pictures online, it looks like a 216 or 220 model, though the engine side covers are missing so I couldn't identify it there. I bought it for $1000. I'm thinking of going to pick it up tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone here had used such a machine, what I should watch out for, and so on as I check it over. I know there are some hoses that look pretty bad on it and right now the drive shafts have been removed (for towing, as I understand) but I don't know much else about it. If I can make it work at all, it'll be a huge step up from the 200 gallon tank, pto spray pump, and homemade 11-row boom assembly I weld into my 560's loader bucket. At last, hopefully I'll quit having to get soaked in Roundup!
