Can someone please explain to me why I do this. I got my hay baled today w/ out to much trouble. I'm a one man show with just a truck, no hay racks. Tonight I was able to borrow the nieghbor's trailer to deliver about half of the goods tomorrow . The guy calls me tonight and says they aren't gonna need the hay!!! The other half was possibly gonna go to a friend's mom, but last time she wanted pure alfalfa for her horses, not the mostly grass mix I have. So basically I have 160-170 bales on my hands with no place to store them and half are on a trailer I said I'd return tomorrow afternoon. If I were feeding this hay to animals of my own it'd be differant, but with no place to store them in out of Iowa's wierd weather, I might as well sell my 3 square balers (2 good, 1 parts w/ lots of new parts) and switch to round bales. So, can someone explain to me why I do this stuff? Don't get me wrong, I love doing it, but the hassle of getting the hay off the place for what little I get has got me thinking...
