Haven't seen grasshoppers in over a week. Cricket in the house 2 nights ago though. Lab chased a garter snake down one of the many groundhog holes popping up - thought I got them all, guess not. Noticed yesterday the pond was down a little along the shore - more than I wanna see this time of year. I remember a step nephew having a science book some years back that said can tell the temperature outside by counting the number of times a cricket chirps in a minute, then adding 15. Tried it a few times, works. And, today is rememberence day too. Have a good one. Mark
