Wow.. what advice. I've not much exp with MF.. but have messed around with fergy's.. and have plenty of fords. Right now.. if you walk into a CNH dealer and ask for tranny oil for an 8n.. they hand you the 134d UTF type oil ( transdraulic. ). That oil was originally 90wt mineral oil. Now.. here's a tricky part. Early ford 9/2/8 N and some fergies had a belly pump that could handle the 90wt oil.. However.. most newer pumps.. including the pump on the 53 naa.. and most power steer / loader pumps don't like the hi-viscosity oil.. but like something thinner itn the 10-20-30wt range.. like aw 32/46 or the trans draulic oils in the 10-20-30w range. Though i don't have specific info on your machine.. I'd lean toward that loader.. if it uses a stinger or engine mounted pump.. that it needs the thinner utf oil. And I've never heard of a utf oil eating the seals out of old machines... or there'd be aloto of 1939 9ns with no seals.. Soundguy

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
